No helium sensor to replace - ever!

Hi-tech analyzer for measuring  nitrox and trimix gases.  After inserting the analyzer adapter (included) to a bottle valve with a breathing mixture, the content of both oxygen and helium is shown as percentages directly on the display at the same time.

This trimx analyser reports "FOUL AIR" if the oxygen, nitrogen and helium can not be calculated due to contamination which is a major safety advantage over any other analyser.

Features
  • OLED Display
  • Analyzer has built in Gas Mixing Calculator
  • Continous flow mixture measurement with Hi/Lo alarms for He and O2
  • new electronics with lower energy usage

Operation Principle

A standard electrochemical sensor (R-17D) normally used in analyzers for diving is used to determine the oxygen content. The helium content is determined on the basis of measuring the speed of sound in the analyzed mixture.

The speed of sound depends on the content of helium and oxygen, and on the temperature of the mixture. The dependence of the speed of sound on pressure is marginal and can be ignored under normal atmospheric pressure. At 0°C the speed of sound is approximately 970 m/s in pure helium, 330 m/s in air, and 315 m/s in pure oxygen. Raising the temperature by one degree raises the speed of sound by approximately 0.175%. The speed of sound in the mixture is described as a non-linear equation of temperature, oxygen content and helium content.

The speed of sound is measured directly as the time it takes for an acoustic impulse to travel between two microphones. This measurement is taken alternately in both directions to eliminate the influence of the gas flow-rate.

Calibration

Every analyzer produced is tesed in the complete range of acceptable oxygen and helium values. It is tested in air, pure oxygen and pure helium as well as in 12 different calibration mixtures.

Includes
- Simple flow limiter for all valves.
- Worldwide Power Supply (also works with 9V battery - included)
- Hard and watertight Case.
-  professional flow limiter
-  connection hose
- spare set of O-rings

OPTIONAL
Pressure sensor - the analyzer can measure pressure in the tank and gas mixture at the same time
Ohm-meter plugin - to check bulbs and cables
Voltmeter plug-in - to check batteries (lights, scooters...)
Flow Limiter for Inflator

Firmware upgrades

The firmware in the He/O2 analyzer is continuously updated. The updates are user installable and can be downloaded here:

Download is performed using the FLIP program from theAtmel Corporation. You can obtain this program via this direct link FLIP 2.4.0. for Windows. If you are unable to dowload the program directly, you will find the newest version of FLIP on the firm's website at Atmel. Use of the FLIP program is described in the download manual.

we have a few B-grade strobes that are open for sale, the strobes are fully functional but have a gas bubble in the lens- all units like this have been pressure tested to 250m

NOTE:
THIS IS A NEW STROBE BUT HAS A BUBBLE IN THE RESIN THAT CAN BE SEEN, SO IS BEING SOLD AS A NOT PERFECT CONDITION

Lost in the darkness ...............

Pathfinder shows you the way

The most powerful diving strobe in the world.
Highest light output.
Highest flash rate of any emergency or location strobe for diving use.
Warranted against flooding
Fully rechargeable.
Comes complete with clip device to securely lock it to the shot line when in use.

Finding your way underwater is a skill we all should have, but sometimes we need a little help. Wreck divers have long since known the benefits of having a marker light attached to the shot line at the bottom, especially when extended decompression is required. Finding your way back to the shot line, the safety of the group, decompression station and boat cover with drop bottles should not be a matter of luck or yours might run out quickly. Simply attach the Pathfinder about 10-15ft above the wreck using the supplied locking clip and find your way back to safety.

STROBE CLIPPED TO SHOT LINE.

The problem with strobes commercially available at the moment is despite their claims of depth capability, they flood. Regularly. They also flash too slowly to be of use when your looking round for the marker, you can turn your head and miss it. We built the Pathfinder because we needed it, now you can benefit from that and have one too.

We can state with confidence that there is no other strobe for underwater use that exceeds the performance of the Pathfinder. What sets us apart from other strobes is our personal guarantee that this one won’t let you down. We offer the purchaser a two year warranty against failure due to flooding and no user requirements for maintenance apart from charging it and rinsing it . Just what you expect from Narked at 90. Built without compromise

The Pathfinder strobe is activated with a twist of the collar and has a NiMh rechargeable battery inside that gives extremely long burn times between charging. There are no seals or caps to remove to charge, simply connect to the external connections to charge. The charger is included and operates from 100-250Vac. and has connections for world wide use

We firmly believe it will save lives or at the very least, give you confidence that support will never be far away.

STROBE DIVING PROCEDURE

When diving very deep wrecks, or engaging in extended decompression there are significant risks involved to the divers. To name but a few, drifting long distances in currents and getting lost, insufficient gas in the event of a failure or even which set of divers the skipper/boat should follow. In light of these and many other risks, it is essential that the divers return to the decompression station via the shot line.
The usual procedure is the skipper will shot the wreck with a fixed line. The first set of divers will tie what is commonly known as a "waster" to the wreck and detach the anchor to be sent up by lift bag. A decompression station will be clipped to the main shot by a 'lazy' and each diver will apply a name tag to that clip. As each diver reaches near the wreck, they position a Pathfinder to the shot line above the wreck where it can be seen from a distance. In low visibility or darkness, the diver can find his way back to the shot. On ascent, each diver will remove his name tag and when only the last name tag remains, the last diver will detach the station so all the divers drift effortlessly with the decompression station. Low stress, maximum safety.
